What are the qualifications about?

This Level 3 Award consists of one unit; it provides an introduction to the learning and development sector.

Who are they for?

This Edexcel Level 3 Award in Understanding Principles and Practices (QCF) course is aimed at people who don't currently work in the sector but wish to gain a foundation in learning and development. Individuals could be managing learning and development practitioners but do not practice themselves.

All of these new qualifications are part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), applicable in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, providing successful learners with transferable unit credit.

6 credits via highly supported home and workplave study.

Assessment

These courses are assessed using evidence from the workplace. This could include observation, professional discussion, questioning / interviews / witness testimonies, reflective accounts or physical products of work (such as plans, reports, correspondence etc.) or other methods allowed within the QCF. Please note that simulation is not allowed.
