Course description

The Personal Assistant Diploma Level 3 course aims to provide an overview of key areas of business understanding and personal skills that are required in the role of Personal Assistant.

Competitive advantage to be gained through effective and efficient use of employees is today at the forefront of all organisations plans. In doing so, recognising that what really makes a difference, is the way in which people perform at work, not only individually in carrying out their work tasks, but collectively in the way in which they support others.

As a result off the above emerging scenario the role of the Personal Assistant is a strong example and demonstrates that for key employees such as personal assistants to add value at work is not only about competence in their individual job role, but about understanding and responding to business drivers.

Although the overall job purpose of the Personal Assistant is generally seen as to provide comprehensive support to senior management, the practical role clearly requires much more than sound administrative skills in todays organisations.

  • Describe the main legislation relating to the disclosure and access of information in the workplace
Module Ten - Handling Difficult Situations
  • The learning objectives of this module are to:
  • Understand what conflict is and how it may affect workplace relationships
  • Explain the approaches available to assist employees who have personal problems or concerns
  • Explain the procedures to deal with situations of discipline and grievance
  • Understand what stress is and the strategies available to manage stress
  • Identify specific communication skills required to handle difficult situations
Previous knowledge

No prior learning knowledge or experience is essential to take this course.

Assessment

Completing a series of tutor marked assignments and or activities marked by your assigned tutor.
